Is my Honda eligible for Honda Plus?
A Canadian-market Honda is eligible for Honda Plus, the extended warranty program of Honda Canada Inc., when it is up to 5 model years old and has under 100,000 km. Both conditions must be met. Honda’s price list effective May 1, 2026 shows model-year surcharges for 2022 to 2027, and your advisor confirms whether your model year qualifies.
Market. Canadian-market vehicles only. A U.S.-specification import is not eligible.
Older model years. Model years 2022 and 2023 require a Honda Plus vehicle inspection certificate.
Higher kilometres. Above 100,000 km, Honda refers to a separate Honda Plus price list for used vehicles. Your advisor will tell you what applies.

When does my coverage start and end?
The coverage period starts on the date of the vehicle’s Retail Delivery Report (its original delivery date) and at 0 km, whenever you buy the plan. It ends when the term or the kilometre limit is reached, whichever comes first. Your advisor confirms the exact reference date for your vehicle before quoting.
Honda Plus is counted from your vehicle’s original delivery date at 0 km, not from the day you buy the plan. Waiting does not move your coverage forward: an 8-year plan still ends 8 years after delivery, or at its km limit, whichever comes first. Honda also recommends buying when you acquire the vehicle.
Roadside assistance depends on time only, with no km limit. It is counted from the date the application is signed, not from delivery.

How do model years change the price?
Honda’s list adds a surcharge of $0 to $500 on the first part of the plan, higher for each older model year. The rest of the price depends on the model and the plan. The last column shows which model years need the Honda Plus inspection certificate.

What if my Honda has more than 100,000 km, or is a U.S. import?
Above 100,000 km, Honda refers to a separate Honda Plus price list for used vehicles. Your advisor will tell you what applies. Canadian-market vehicles only. A U.S.-specification import is not eligible. If your model year is older than the oldest year on Honda’s price list (2022), an advisor looks at your options by phone.
Two different numbers: a vehicle needs under 100,000 km to buy a plan, and a plan can run up to 200,000 km.
Can I buy after the factory warranty ends, or for a used Honda?
To buy a Honda extended warranty after purchase, the conditions we reviewed are the model year and the kilometres, and they do not mention who bought the vehicle first. A used Honda that meets both may qualify. Your advisor confirms your case before quoting.
How long can you wait?
No separate purchase deadline is published in the conditions we reviewed. Waiting does shorten the plan, because coverage is counted from delivery: see when your coverage starts. Do the same rules apply to a used Honda?
Honda warranty extension eligibility rests on the same two conditions, counted from the original delivery date. A plan already held by the previous owner can be transferred at no cost, under most conditions: see transfer or cancel your plan. Your coverage is attached to your VIN, not to the dealer who sold you the plan.

When is the best time to buy Honda Plus?
Honda recommends buying the plan when you acquire the vehicle so it can be rolled into the financing or the cash settlement. Coverage counts from the original delivery date, so buying early gives you the most of the term. Buying later may still be possible if your Honda meets both conditions; your advisor confirms your case.
If I wait, do I lose coverage?
