How much does a Honda extended warranty cost in Canada?
The price of a Honda Plus extended warranty depends on four things: the model family, the plan (years and kilometres), the model year, and whether the vehicle is gas, hybrid or electric. Honda sets a suggested retail price for each combination, in Canadian dollars (CAD), effective May 1, 2026. Honda’s own price list says the dealer may sell for less. Your own price comes in a written quote for your VIN.
Honda’s list is not our price. The Honda Plus extended warranty, a program of Honda Canada Inc., is sold through authorized Honda dealers, and the dealer sets what you pay. Send your VIN and an advisor gives you a written quote.

What decides the price?
Four things set the price on Honda’s list: the model family, the plan (years and kilometres), the model year, and whether the vehicle is gas, hybrid or electric. The list has no line for your purchase date or current kilometres, yet eligibility needs both: up to 5 model years old and under 100,000 km, counted from the original delivery date. Honda lists 9 comprehensive plans. Each pairs years with a kilometre limit; more years or a higher limit generally costs more.

Hybrid and electric models have their own list: Civic and Prelude hybrids, Accord and CR‑V hybrids, and the Prologue (electric).
How Honda groups models for pricing
Honda groups its gas models into three price columns: the Civic; the Accord, CR-V and HR-V; and the Pilot, Odyssey, Ridgeline and Passport. Models in the same column list at the same price on a given plan. Your advisor gives you the exact amount for your model and plan in a written quote.
Honda Civic. The Civic has its own price column. Civic and Prelude hybrids are priced separately, in the hybrid and electric section.
Honda Accord, CR-V and HR-V. These three share one column, so they list at the same price on every plan. Their hybrids are priced separately.
Honda Pilot, Odyssey, Ridgeline and Passport. The four larger models share the third gas column. Send your VIN and an advisor confirms the plans open to your vehicle.
Model years and the inspection certificate
Honda adds a surcharge for older model years, and the newest years carry none. Model years 2022 and 2023 require a Honda Plus vehicle inspection certificate. Your advisor confirms the surcharge for your model year in your written quote.

Honda prices its hybrid and electric models in three separate columns: Civic and Prelude hybrids, Accord and CR-V hybrids, and the Prologue (electric). Some Prologue plans are not offered.

When does my coverage start?
Honda Plus is counted from your vehicle’s original delivery date, at 0 km, not from the day you buy the plan, so the longer you wait, the less coverage you buy.

- Honda Plus: up to 8 years / 200,000 km
Example only, not a quote: on an 8-year / 200,000 km plan, a vehicle that is already 3 years and 60,000 km old has at most 5 years / 140,000 km of Honda Plus coverage left.

Plan terms include the factory warranty, so “8 years” means 8 years of total coverage counted from delivery, not 8 extra years on top.

Honda Plus is a Honda Canada program. Your coverage is attached to your VIN, not to the dealer who sold you the plan. What you pay for the plan is set by the dealer that sells it, not by the program.
